Anthrobods - The First Human Cell Robots

Published 2023-12-01

Researchers from Tufts University have developed the first micro cell robot (Antrhobod), made of human tracheal skin cells. These cells were able to assemble themselves into a functional unit, which displayed the ability to repair neural tissue. In this potential tissue engineering breakthrough, the research team envisions creating specialized Anthrobods which may have the ability to repair human tissue in-vivo. The results of the study were published in the journal Advanced Science.
