Stem Cell Culturing in Space

Aerospace manufacturer Sierra Space Corp. and BioServe Space Technologies, a research center at the University of Colorado, are partnering on an experiment aimed at culturing stem cells in space. Specifically, this experiment will focus on Umbilical Cord Blood Hematopoietic Stem Cell culturing in a microgravity environment. This effort is one of a host of experiments planned to push forward the growing interest in Space Biological Sciences.
